What was the inspiration behind developing a character like Olivia Kaspen?
When I sat down to start writing, I said to myself, “you can tell a story about another predictable do-gooder, or you can write about what happens when a villain falls in love.” I find my own flaws very interesting. I usually fall in love with other people’s flaws. It was a challenge making you feel for Olivia through all of hers.
Will Dirty Red be a continuation of the story, or is it just the rehashing of what we’ve already read?
Dirty Red is a continuation of the story. It starts shortly after Olivia leaves Caleb in Rome.
Most people despise Leah, I think I could even say that some hate her. Why should they read Dirty Red (book #2) of the series? Are you going to try to make us all like her?
I don’t have any type of agenda in regards to Leah. Some people read The Opportunist and still hated Olivia after the book ended. Whether you empathize with her or not, the story will still be interesting.
What will you write after the Love Me With Lies, series?
I have several projects. The first (which I am very excited about) is a series for Young Adults. My concept is unique and top secret, so I can’t tell you a lot about it yet, but I can confidently say, there isn’t a book like it on the market. The second project is something that I believe will rival The Opportunist.
