A 1996 red Camaro cut me off in traffic today. This is a weird story, stay with me. So I see the Camaro and smile so big because I was in love with a boy who had a red Camaro. Anyway, I start thinking about my best friend in high-school who was always third wheel in that Camaro. And then I come home, sit at my desk and start gathering photos to make my memory lane post, and as soon as I screenshot a photo of this particular friend...my phone rings. SHE WAS FACETIMING ME. Guys we haven’t seen each other in ten years. And if you’re a TO fan—that’s Cammie in the first photo. And to all my girls in the other photos—I MISS YOU. Holla at yo’ girl!
The other day I was in the mall and every store I went into was playing eighties and nineties music. HOLY! I felt like I was in an episode of Black Mirror as I mouthed the words to What if God was one of us, passionately enough to embarrass Scarlet. I mentioned it to the girl at the register as I was checking out at Hot Topic (don’t judge me). “We were all happier back then,” she said. “the world felt...better. So we’re taking it back to the good ol’ days.” Nice. I went out and bought jeans to support the cause. Probably getting a mullet next!
